"Some musings on property in Malta, particularly the rental part thereof”

Born  1939, Maltese mother and Italo-Maltese father.  

Educated at The Lyceum, and then Malta,  Rome, Wales,Manchester Business School, and Columbia (NYK) universities. Also did programs in Ahmedabad, India, and in KL, Malaysia.

Spent 42 years as a professional banker with Barclays (1958-1997), Mid-Med (1975-1998), and HSBC (1998-2000) in Malta.

“Retired” in 2000, and started a second career as an academic in UoM teaching Banking Regulation, Economics, Banking in the EU, and Economics of Sport, and tutoring and examining financial-sector related these including from Faculty of Law.  Published  six books on the history of banking in Malta and the Mediterranean, plus papers in journals.

Presently Governor on the Board of the MFSA, Chairman of the Revenue Remissions Supervisory Board (Income Tax Dept)., member of the Malta Government Scholarships Board, and Hon. Treasurer of Malta’s oldest charity the Conservatorio Vincenzo Bugeja.
