DESCRIPTION:In the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic\, Rotary Club Malta's mee
 ting of Monday 20th April will be held on-line and our special gust speake
 r is Burkhard Varnholt who will be joining us on-line from Switzerland. As
  well as being a leading Swiss Banker\, Chief Investment Officer of Credi
 t Suisse (Switzerland) Ltd\, Burkhard founded the "Kids of Africa" charity
  in 2004\, which runs an orphanage for homeless children in Uganda and var
 ious schools. Rotary Club Malta's association with KoA goes back to 2009 s
 ince when our club has: implementation solar heating systems at the KoA or
 phange (2009/10) implemented a photovoltaic system to provide energy both 
 to the orphanage but also the wider community (2010/11) built a school in 
 Nkose\, assisted and part financed by KoA\, called Rotary Malta Primary Sc
 hool currently is completing the building of a second school\, in Lewero (
 2019/20)  Burkhard will be speaking about the work of Kids of Africa as we
 ll as the projects that have been undertaken jointly with Kids of Africa.
