Alfred Caruana Galizia assumes Presidency of Rotary Club Malta

Dr Alfred Caruana Galizia has assumed the Presidency of Rotary Club Malta as of the 1st July 2014.
Dr Alfred Caruana Galizia has assumed the Presidency of Rotary Club Malta. The Rotary year starts on the 1st July and the leaders of the 33,000 Rotary clubs and the 564 Districts worldwide rotate on this date.
Alfred, a Medical Doctor by profession, has been a Rotarian for 28 years and a member of the board of Rotary Club Malta for the last few years.
"I would like to thank my predecessor, Ulli Salomo, President 2013-14, for the dedication and spirit with which he ran the club in his year of office and I hope to be able to continue to build on the work carried out by the various Presidents and boards over the years" said Dr Caruana Galizia.
Over a hundred people attended the hand-over ceremony between the outgoing and incoming Presidents which took place on the 1st July 2014 at the Paranga Restaurant, St George's Bay in what was a most enjoyable evening. Outgoing President Ulli Salomo explained to members and guests the work that had been achieved during the last Rotary year including the raising of over EUR 90,000 for Club projects. President Alfred urged members to take ownership of their Club and to get involved so as to ensure they get the most out of their input to the Club.
