Rise against hunger

President Nicky Samut-Tagliaferro and Rotarian Robert von Brockdorff participated in a Service activity in Enna, Sicily on 16 November 2019 to pack total of 24,000 portions of cereal. The food has been sent to schools on the African continent for free distribution to students in an initiative to keep them in school. 

President Nicky Samut-Tagliaferro and Rotarian Robert von Brockdorff participated in a Service activity organised by Governor Valerio in Enna, Sicily on 16 November 2019 after this years' Rotary Foundation Seminar held there earlier in the day.

 

The 80 participants from Rotary District 2110 were split into 8 teams of 10 persons. Each team formed a production line to fill and pack  a total of 24000 portions of cereal. The food will be sent to schools on the African continent for free distribution to students in an initiative to keep them in school. 

 

This was a great initiative that turned out to be a fun event that we hope to repeat in 2020.
