To mark the start of the Ukraine war, Rotary Club Malta ran a very successful Fundraising & Awareness Event in aid of the displaced Ukrainian families in Malta.
With February being the Rotary Month of Peacebuilding and Conflict Prevention, Rotary Club Malta organised a public event on the 27 February 2023 aimed at raising funds and building an understanding of the ongoing needs of evacuated Ukrainian mothers, children and grandparents who have found safety and shelter in Malta.
Organised in co-operation with SOS Malta and the Foundation for the Ukrainian Community of Malta, this event included the viewing of the short documentary Ukraine - In The Line of Fire followed by a Questions & Answers session with its producers, Neil Camilleri and Giuseppe Attard. SOS Malta and the Foundation outlined their hands-on experiences and the immediate requirements of the displaced Ukrainian families in Malta.
Ample possibilities existed for socialising and networking.
